Description

A flavorful combination of tender beef, pasta, and a rich tomato sauce, this homemade Beefaroni brings nostalgia and deliciousness to the table.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • 1 cup pasta (elbow or macaroni)
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  5. Drain the pasta and combine with the beef and sauce mixture, stirring to combine.
  6. Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes
