- 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 cup pasta (elbow or macaroni)
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnishing
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and combine with the beef and sauce mixture, stirring to combine.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh herbs.
