Description

Delightful and visually stunning cupcakes shaped like Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Green gel food coloring
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, until smooth.
  6. Scoop batter into prepared muffin tin, filling about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  8. Prepare the buttercream frosting by beating together butter, powdered sugar, and milk until creamy. Add green gel food coloring to achieve a tree color.
  9. Once cupcakes are cooled, use a piping bag to decorate each cupcake with the green frosting to look like a Christmas tree.
  10. Top with sprinkles as desired and serve on a decorative platter.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Chill frosting if it gets too soft during piping.
