Delicious dessert cups filled with fresh apples and creamy caramel, offering a sweet, tart, and crunchy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples, diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, chocolate shavings, or sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat, stirring continuously until it turns a beautiful amber color.
  2. While the caramel is cooking, dice the apples and toss them with lemon juice.
  3. Once the caramel is ready, remove it from heat and stir in the heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Allow the caramel to cool slightly, then combine with the diced apples.
  5. Fill each dessert cup with the apple and caramel mixture.
  6. Top with whipped cream and any additional desired toppings.
  7. Chill the cups for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, tart apples for best results. Experiment with toppings for different flavor profiles.
