A rich and hearty dish combining tender venison with a smooth, creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for impressing family and friends.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 deer steaks (venison)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the deer steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, letting it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the steaks to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Let the steaks rest after cooking to keep them juicy. Feel free to experiment with different types of mushrooms.
