Ingredients
Scale
- 2 deer steaks (venison)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the deer steaks with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, letting it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Let the steaks rest after cooking to keep them juicy. Feel free to experiment with different types of mushrooms.
