- 8 large marshmallows
- 8 squares of milk chocolate (or your preferred chocolate)
- 8 graham cracker squares
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the S’mores: Place a square of chocolate on each graham cracker square. Put a marshmallow on top of the chocolate and place another graham cracker square on top, creating a s’more sandwich. Gently press down to secure the marshmallow and chocolate.
- Make the Batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the egg and milk to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Heat the Oil: Pour vegetable oil into a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet and heat it to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the S’mores: Dip each s’more into the batter, then carefully lower into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain and Serve: Remove the deep-fried s’mores from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
- Enjoy: Serve immediately while hot and crispy, being cautious as the filling will be very hot.
Notes
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying and consider adding vanilla extract or cinnamon to the batter for enhanced flavor.
