A rich and indulgent dessert combining dark chocolate with a creamy filling, perfect for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 60% cacao)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your pre-baked pie crust in a pie dish.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in short bursts of 30 seconds, stirring between intervals until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and melted chocolate until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into the pre-baked crust and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Allow to cool at room temperature for at least one hour before slicing. Serve plain or with whipped cream.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate. Be careful not to over-bake; it should be set but still have a slight jiggle in the center.
