- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 60% cacao)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 pre-baked pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your pre-baked pie crust in a pie dish.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in short bursts of 30 seconds, stirring between intervals until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and melted chocolate until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the pre-baked crust and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for at least one hour before slicing. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
Notes
For best flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate. Be careful not to over-bake; it should be set but still have a slight jiggle in the center.
