Instructions

  1. In a skillet, sauté the Italian sausage until browned.
  2. In the crockpot, combine the sausage, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the tortellini.
  5. Serve hot topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
