- 2–3 lbs Chicken Breasts or Thighs (boneless, skinless recommended)
- 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Mix
- 1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 cup Pepperoncini Peppers
- Black pepper or chicken broth (to taste, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your slow cooker (line it for easy cleanup if desired).
- Layer the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch mix and au jus packet over the chicken.
- Top with sliced butter and add the pepperoncini, pouring in a splash of the pepper brine if you like.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours without opening the lid.
- Once the chicken is fall-apart tender, shred it right in the crockpot using two forks.
- Serve and enjoy your meal!
Notes
For serving, consider stuffed sandwiches, over mashed potatoes, or with rice. It also freezes well; defrost before reheating to maintain juiciness.
