Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag Tater Tots (Bake them extra crispy for the best results.)
- 1 lb Ground Beef (Season to taste for added flavor.)
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning (Homemade versions can elevate freshness.)
- 1 Onion (diced) (Adds sweetness and aroma.)
- 2 cups Shredded Cheese (Cheddar is great, but feel free to use your favorite.)
- Toppings of Choice (pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce, jalapeños, cilantro, sour cream, hot sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and bake the tater tots according to package directions until they are crispy.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Mix in the taco seasoning and a splash of water. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Once the tater tots are ready, layer them at the bottom of a bowl.
- Spoon the seasoned beef mixture over the tater tots.
- Top with shredded cheese and any extra toppings of your choice.
Notes
For the crispiest tater tots, bake them on a parchment-lined baking sheet without overcrowding. You can prepare the beef mixture in advance for convenience.
