- 2–3 ripe bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp butter (or coconut oil)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (or maple syrup)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Peel and slice the bananas into 1-inch thick rounds.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Add the banana slices and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and caramelized.
- Once golden, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the bananas and stir gently to coat. Let the sugar melt for another minute.
- Drizzle with vanilla extract and add a pinch of salt. Cook for an additional minute to blend flavors.
- Serve immediately, optionally topping with nuts, whipped cream, or ice cream.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat in a pan over low heat.
