Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries are a fun and tasty snack, perfect for sharing. These delicious fries are easy to make and can be enjoyed with sweet dips.

- 2 large apples, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
- 65 grams all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 60 grams panko breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Cooking spray
- 120 milliliters caramel sauce (optional)
- 120 grams vanilla yogurt (optional, for a lighter accompaniment)
Instructions
- Peel the apples if desired and cut them into wedges about 1.25 centimeters thick. Remove the cores and seeds.
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
- Place the flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third. Mix half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the breadcrumbs.
- Coat each apple wedge in flour, shake off excess, dip into the beaten egg, and press into the breadcrumb mixture until well-coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 190°C for 3 minutes. Arrange the coated apple wedges in a single layer in the basket and lightly mist with cooking spray.
- Cook the apple fries for 8-10 minutes, turning once, until crisp and golden brown.
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar over the hot apple fries and serve immediately with optional caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
Notes
These fries are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
