Description

A comforting side dish featuring fresh spinach in a rich, cheesy béchamel sauce that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach
  • Garlic
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Milk
  • Gruyère cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté spinach with garlic in butter until wilted.
  2. In a separate pan, make a béchamel sauce by whisking flour and butter, then gradually adding milk.
  3. Once thickened, mix in the cheeses and seasonings.
  4. Combine spinach with the béchamel sauce and transfer to a baking dish.
  5. Bake until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter on top before baking.
