Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced into strips
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Season steak with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add steak, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, add onion, and cook until softened, then add garlic. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, stir in Parmesan until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning. Thin with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Add the pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, and return steak to the skillet, mixing well.
- Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired, serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicy kick, adjust the Cajun seasoning. This dish can be customized with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
