Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced into strips
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Season steak with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add steak, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, add onion, and cook until softened, then add garlic. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, stir in Parmesan until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning. Thin with reserved pasta water if needed.
  4. Add the pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, and return steak to the skillet, mixing well.
  5. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired, serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy kick, adjust the Cajun seasoning. This dish can be customized with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
