A rich and creamy side dish that steals the show at any meal, made easily in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 2 bags frozen corn (32 ounces total)
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toss all the frozen corn into the crock pot.
  2. Slice or add the cream cheese on top.
  3. Add the stick of butter without chopping.
  4. Add milk, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cover and set to low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  6. After cooking, stir well and taste, adjusting salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve hot with a spoon.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider stirring in green chilies or jalapeños before cooking. You can also add crumbled bacon or shredded cheese in the last hour of cooking.
