Description

Quick and creamy creamed corn, perfect as a versatile side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the corn kernels and sauté for about 5 minutes until warmed through.
  3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously.
  4. Mix in sugar, salt, and pepper, adjusting seasonings to taste.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with extra cracked pepper or herbs if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add smoked paprika or hot sauce. For a thicker sauce, simmer longer. Canned corn can be used but requires less cooking time.
