Description

Delightful oat and cranberry bars featuring a buttery crumble topping, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter and vanilla, and mix until crumbly.
  4. Press half the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
  5. In another bowl, combine fresh cranberries and granulated sugar, then spread over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the cranberries.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour. Ensure cooling completely to cut cleanly.
