Description
A delightful combination of turkey and cranberries, perfect for holidays or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or ¾ cup dried cranberries)
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- ½ cup celery, diced
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and celery in olive oil until softened, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed vegetables, cranberries, breadcrumbs, eggs, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Scoop out two tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving with gravy or dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans. If using dried cranberries, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes to plump them up. Avoid over-mixing the turkey mixture to keep the stuffing balls tender.
