Ingredients

- 1.5–2 pounds boneless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup flour (optional for dredging)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Thin lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Lightly season and optionally dredge the chicken in flour. Sear in a skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until golden.
- Transfer chicken to a slow cooker.
- Add chicken broth, lemon juice, capers, minced garlic, butter, salt, pepper, and lemon slices to the slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 1.5-2 hours until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- For a thicker sauce, make a cornstarch slurry or briefly reduce on the stovetop.
Notes
