A warmly spiced pumpkin custard that’s rich and creamy, perfect for fall gatherings.

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a baking dish or individual ramekins.
- Place the baking dish or ramekins in a larger dish filled halfway with hot water.
- Bake for 50 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use fresh roasted pumpkin instead of canned. Serve with whipped cream and extra spices for garnish.
