Description

A delightful apple cinnamon cake that is moist, fluffy, and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups fresh apples, diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy with caramel sauce, whipped cream, or ice cream.
