- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed and drained
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Mexican cheese blend, shredded
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion and taco seasoning until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked beef with sour cream and half the sharp cheddar cheese.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the hashbrowns, followed by the beef mixture, and then the rest of the hashbrowns.
- Top with remaining cheese and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
