- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut for topping
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, shredded coconut, butter, sugar, and salt. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a crust.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and shredded coconut. Pour this mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until set and golden on top.
- Let it cool, then cut into bars and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
