Ingredients

- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for frying
- Your favorite tomato sauce
Instructions
- Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine soaked breadcrumbs, ground beef, ground pork, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently by hand to avoid overmixing.
- Shape mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides.
- Transfer browned meatballs to a pot of tomato sauce and simmer for at least 30 minutes.
Notes
Chill meatballs for 30 minutes before cooking to help maintain their shape. If you have leftovers, they store well in the refrigerator for up to four days.
