Description

A hearty lasagna filled with layers of savory meats, tangy tomato sauce, and creamy cheeses, perfect for family gatherings during the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a baking dish, spread a base layer of marinara sauce.
  4. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta cheese, half of the ground beef, half of the spinach, and a layer of mozzarella.
  5. Repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of noodles and topped with remaining marinara sauce and cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove foil, add Parmesan cheese, and bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace the ground beef with sautéed vegetables. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
