Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa content), finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • Cocoa powder or finely chopped nuts for coating

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering.
  2. Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate and let it sit for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  4. Add the orange zest to the ganache and mix well.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm.
  6. Scoop out small portions of ganache and roll them into balls.
  7. Coat the truffles in cocoa powder or finely chopped nuts.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk and use vegan chocolate.
