Description

Soft in the center and crisp at the edges, these chocolate chip walnut cookies are packed with nutty crunch and rich chocolate in every bite.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup room-temperature butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream room-temperature butter with granulated and brown sugars until light.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
  3. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mix.
  5. Add chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, and combine.
  6. Chill the dough for 30–60 minutes if desired.
  7. Scoop 1–1.5 tablespoon portions onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until edges set.

Notes

For a richer flavor, brown the butter before adding it to the mix.
