Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small tortillas
  • Fresh toppings: cilantro, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and sauté the marinated chicken until cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Slice the cooked chicken and warm the tortillas in a dry skillet.
  4. Assemble tacos by placing chicken in tortillas and adding your favorite toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, let the chicken marinate for up to an hour. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F (75°C).
