Description

Delicious and satisfying Chicken Shawarma Wraps with spiced chicken and refreshing garlic yogurt sauce, all wrapped in warm pita bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pita bread
  • Assorted toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles)
  • 1 cup garlic yogurt sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add chicken to the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated; cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Once cooked, remove chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Warm pita bread, then fill with sliced chicken and assorted toppings.
  7. Drizzle with garlic yogurt sauce and wrap the pita securely.
