Creamy and cheesy potatoes that are a comforting side dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and cube the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Mix in sour cream, milk, and half of the cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese and chopped green onions.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Choose waxy potatoes like Yukon Gold for better texture. You can add garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor.
