- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it foams.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth and elastic. Allow it to rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough to your desired thickness and shape.
- Mix the melted butter and minced garlic, then brush it over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle Italian herbs or red pepper flakes on top before baking. Use fresh garlic for the best taste.
