A quick and delicious snack featuring warm, gooey cheese encased in buttery, garlic-flavored biscuits.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (Pillsbury brand preferred)
  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks, each halved crosswise
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce, warmed, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten each biscuit into a disc approximately 8 centimeters (3 inches) in diameter.
  3. Place one piece of mozzarella stick in the center of each dough disc.
  4. Encase the cheese fully with dough and pinch seams to securely seal.
  5. Position filled dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Brush the tops of the dough balls generously with the seasoned butter.
  8. Bake in the center of the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately accompanied by warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Pinch the seams well to avoid cheese leaks. Experiment with different cheeses or add herbs for extra flavor.
