Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (Pillsbury brand preferred)
- 8 mozzarella cheese sticks, each halved crosswise
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Marinara sauce, warmed, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten each biscuit into a disc approximately 8 centimeters (3 inches) in diameter.
- Place one piece of mozzarella stick in the center of each dough disc.
- Encase the cheese fully with dough and pinch seams to securely seal.
- Position filled dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Brush the tops of the dough balls generously with the seasoned butter.
- Bake in the center of the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
- Serve immediately accompanied by warm marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Pinch the seams well to avoid cheese leaks. Experiment with different cheeses or add herbs for extra flavor.
