Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Season the mixture with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut them into squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each square.
  7. Fold over the pastry to create a pocket, sealing the edges with a fork.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
