Description

A comforting one-dish meal featuring savory beef, tender potatoes, and nutrient-rich spinach, topped with melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet until fully cooked.
  3. Parboil the sliced potatoes in boiling water for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef, parboiled potatoes, fresh spinach, and 1.5 cups of cheese.
  5. Layer the mixture in a casserole dish, top with remaining cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the potatoes to avoid mushiness. Feel free to customize the cheese blend.
