A hearty and fun casserole combining crispy tater tots, savory beef, gooey cheese, and crunchy bacon, perfect for family dinners or game day.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add the diced onion and cook for another 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and ranch seasoning.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the cheddar cheese soup with a little water to loosen it up, then stir in half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  7. Layer the tater tots on top of the beef.
  8. Pour the cheesy soup mixture over the tater tots, then top it with the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  9. Pop it into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the tater tots are crispy and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  10. Once it’s out of the oven, sprinkle with crumbled bacon and serve hot!

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the casserole for a couple of minutes after baking. You can customize by adding veggies or using different cheese.
