Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan (8×4 inches) with parchment paper or cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla extract, and beat until smooth. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Set the batter aside.
- In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly on top. Add the remaining cake batter on top of the cheesecake layer.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy! Best served at room temperature or chilled.
