Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Spoon a portion of the mixture onto each flour tortilla and roll them up, sealing the edges with water.
- Heat oil in a frying pan to around 350°F.
- Fry the chimichangas until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
- Serve hot with optional toppings like syrup or fresh berries.
Notes
Best enjoyed freshly fried. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
