Description

A delightful twist that combines the rich flavors of a cheeseburger with the comforting goodness of a grilled cheese sandwich.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices bread (your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form it into a patty.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the patty, cooking for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  3. While the burger is cooking, butter one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Once the burger is cooked, place it on one slice of bread in the skillet and layer with the cheeses.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Press the sandwich down gently with a spatula and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side, or until the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the skillet and cut in half before serving.
