- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 lbs frozen French fries
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook ground beef with diced onions in a skillet until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Season the beef mixture with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a large casserole dish, layer half of the frozen French fries.
- Spread the beef mixture over the fries and add 1 cup of shredded cheese on top.
- Add the remaining French fries and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
For extra crispy fries, partially bake them for 10 minutes before assembling the casserole.
