Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until everything is just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once cooled slightly, poke holes in the cake and drizzle warm caramel sauce over the top.
- Serve warm or at room temperature topped with whipped cream.
Notes
Use pure pumpkin puree for the best flavor. Allow the cake to cool slightly before poking holes to prevent it from falling apart. Drizzle warm caramel for better absorption.
