Description

A flavorful dish combining spicy sausage and creamy sauce with perfectly cooked pasta, making for a satisfying and quick meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb andouille sausage (or smoked sausage of choice)
  • 8 oz pasta (your choice)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add andouille sausage and cook until golden brown.
  3. Add chopped onion, garlic, and bell pepper; sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in Cajun seasoning and let it cook for another minute.
  5. In a separate pot, cook pasta until al dente.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with the sausage mixture.
  7. Add heavy cream and mix until well combined and heated through.
  8. Serve garnished with chopped green onions and parsley.

For a lighter version, substitute sausage with plant-based options and skip the cream.
