- 8 cups stale bread cubes
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped

- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onion and celery; sauté until soft and fragrant (about 5 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, combine stale bread cubes with the sautéed mixture and any remaining melted butter.
- Stir in fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Gradually add chicken broth until combined but not soggy.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving alongside your favorite main dishes.
Notes
Use day-old bread for the best texture. Feel free to mix in other ingredients like cooked sausage or nuts for added flavor.
