Description

Ingredients

  • 8 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional herbs (basil, oregano, smoked paprika)

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop ripe tomatoes, discarding any stems.
  2. Blend the tomatoes until smooth, then strain to remove skins if desired.
  3. Heat the blended tomatoes in a pot.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  5. Simmer to enhance flavors, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve chilled or warm as desired.

Notes

Use heirloom or Roma tomatoes for best flavor. Adjust seasoning gradually to achieve desired taste.
