A quick and nutritious dish featuring tender beef and fresh bok choy, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thin)
  • 2 cups bok choy (washed and chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add the bok choy to the skillet and stir-fry until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, mixing well to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Slice the beef thinly against the grain for the best texture. Use fresh bok choy for a crispy crunch. Adjust sauces to taste, and add chili sauce for spice. For gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
