- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Add flour, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Mix to form a dough and knead until smooth.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, blueberries, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
- Roll out the dough and spread the filling evenly, then roll it up tightly.
- Twist the roll and place it in a greased bread pan.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. To keep longer, wrap and freeze for up to a month.
