A delightful treat that combines the sweetness of blueberries with rich, buttery dough, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add flour, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Mix to form a dough and knead until smooth.
  3. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, blueberries, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread the filling evenly, then roll it up tightly.
  6. Twist the roll and place it in a greased bread pan.
  7. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. To keep longer, wrap and freeze for up to a month.
