Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 wheel brie cheese (8 oz)
- 3 tablespoons raspberry or cherry preserves (for “blood”)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: Extra preserves for drizzling after baking
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry and place the brie in the center.
- Spoon the raspberry or cherry preserves over the brie, being generous for a dramatic effect.
- Fold the pastry over the brie, sealing the edges. Decorate with any pastry scraps if desired.
- Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes until the pastry is golden and puffed.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes, then drizzle with more preserves, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Pairs well with crackers, fresh fruit, or baguette slices. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
