A fun twist on the classic Big Mac, these cheeseburger bombs combine beloved flavors in a bite-sized treat, perfect for parties or family dinners.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 24 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup white onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound block American cheese, sliced into 24 cubes
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 pack (24) frozen dinner rolls, thawed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Let the frozen dinner rolls thaw as per package instructions.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, minced onion, chopped pickles, garlic salt, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Slice the American cheese into 24 equal cubes.
  5. Divide the beef mixture into 24 balls. Flatten each ball, place a cheese cube in the center, cover with beef, and roll tightly.
  6. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the meatballs on all sides, without cooking them through.
  7. Flatten each thawed dinner roll into a round shape. Place a browned meatball in the center, pinch the dough around it, and place seam-side down on the baking tray.
  8. Brush the tops and sides of the bombs with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  9. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

Ensure meatballs are not fully cooked before wrapping; this keeps the bombs moist. Allow dough to thaw completely to avoid cracking.
