Description

A vibrant, tart, and slightly sweet cranberry sauce perfect for Thanksgiving and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and orange juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add orange zest and stir to combine.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool, or blend for a smoother texture if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months. For extra flavor, add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg during cooking.
