Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries, coated in flour

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  7. Pour the batter into a prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Notes

Coat blueberries in flour to prevent them from sinking. Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing.
