- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- Fresh herbs (basil, parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté garlic and onions until translucent.
- Add marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Layer the ziti with sauce, ricotta, and a generous amount of mozzarella in a baking dish.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving, garnished with fresh herbs.
