- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for the glaze)
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (for the glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sugar until combined.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, melted butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
- Fill each donut mold halfway with batter and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the donuts slightly before glazing them with a mixture of powdered sugar and lemon juice.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. They can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
